IONIQ electric powertrain
The new IONIQ electric’s 100 kW electric motor is powered by using energy stored in the 38.3 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery which offers an enhanced all-electric driving range of 274 kilometres on a single charge. Conveniently charge from home, work or a public charging station.
Class-exclusive battery technology
All IONIQ models store their electrical energy in a highly advanced lithium-ion polymer battery. Lithium-ion polymer, the next generation of lithium-ion technology, is ideally suited to automotive applications thanks to its robust and reliable chemistry. Lithium-ion polymer batteries are smaller, lighter, longer-lasting and more energy-dense than the batteries found in competing hybrid vehicles.
SAE Combo-type quick charge port (Level 3 450 V)
The IONIQ electric can be charged at home, or while you're out and about. The estimated driving range at any time is clearly displayed on the supervision display to keep you informed and you can use the available navigation system to map out charging stations within the vicinity of your electric range. LEVEL 1 – Standard household outlet (120 V) – 35 ½ hours charging time. LEVEL 2 – Available household outlet/public (240 V) – 6 hours and 5 minutes charging time. LEVEL 3 – Public (480 V) – 54 minute charging time (80% charge)

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection
This standard safety feature is designed to detect a vehicle or pedestrian and warn the driver of a potential frontal collision. If the driver does not react to avoid impact, the system will apply emergency braking.
Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keeping Assist
Drift outside your lane without signalling and this standard system will alert you with audible and visual cues. If no action is taken, Lane Keeping Assist can apply corrective steering assistance to help you remain within your lane markings.
Blind-Spot Collision Warning
Capable of sensing a vehicle approaching the driver’s blind spot, available Blind-Spot Collision Warning provides both an audible and visual alert to help reduce the potential for a collision. Our innovative system also features Lane Change Assist, which measures the closing speed of traffic approaching in adjacent lanes to help determine if a lane change is safe.
Driver Attention Warning
Designed to detect the onset of driver fatigue, this standard system will monitor driver input and issue a visual and audible alert if fatigue is sensed, suggesting a break.
