By using a full-parallel hybrid drive system, the IONIQ Hybrid can run on a gasoline internal combustion engine, an electric motor or both. This provides you with more optimized power and improved fuel economy by allowing the engine and electric motor to supply power simultaneously or independently. 1.6L GDI engine with 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission
The IONIQ Hybrid features a 1.6L Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engine paired with a 32 kW electric motor to deliver efficient cruising. A class-exclusive 6-speed EcoShift Dual Clutch Transmission further enhances efficiency and provides instant engine feedback for unparalleled responsiveness.
ECO Driving Assist System
This highly advanced energy management system analyzes road and route data via the available navigation system to help make the IONIQ as efficient as possible. Simply pre-set your destination and ECO-DAS uses topographical information provided by the navigation system to predict changes in elevation along your route and manage battery energy usage and regeneration to complement the gasoline engine in the most efficient manner.

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection
This standard safety feature is designed to detect a vehicle or pedestrian and warn the driver of a potential frontal collision. If the driver does not react to avoid impact, the system will apply emergency braking.
Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keeping Assist

Parking Distance Warning – Reverse
The available Parking Distance Warning – Reverse feature uses sensors embedded into the rear bumper to make reverse parking easier by producing a warning sound for the driver if the rear of the vehicle gets too close to an object. As the vehicle approaches closer to the object, the warning sound will increase in frequency.
Lane Following Assist
Using the front-view camera to detect lane markers on the road, this available feature assists the driver’s steering to help keep the vehicle centred inside the lane.
Adaptive Cruise Control with traffic stop and go
Take basic cruise control to the next level of convenience. Set your pre-determined speed and distance to the vehicle ahead, and this available system will automatically adjust the vehicle speed to maintain the set distance. The system will even operate in stop-and-go traffic, bringing the vehicle to a complete stop when necessary and then resuming automatically.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Having the right tire pressure is more than just good for your tires and fuel economy – it’s a safety issue too. The standard Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) makes safety and driving efficiency a top priority, with sensors for optimal tire functionality and real-time pressure monitoring. Highway Driving Assist

When actively engaged with Adaptive Cruise Control with traffic stop and go and Lane Following Assist, this semi-autonomous driving technology helps keep you centred in your lane and travelling at a safe distance behind the vehicle ahead.
